TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WEDDINGS, CIVIL PARTNERSHIPS AND RECEPTIONS AT TABLEY HOUSE

Tabley House contains fragile and valuable antique objects, including paintings, furniture, carpets, show cases etc. In order to protect these items, we are obliged to lay down a set of Terms and Conditions by which anyone booking their wedding or civil partnership ceremony or any other function at Tabley agrees to be bound. These Terms and Conditions apply from the date of signature of this Booking Form and such signature implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR GUESTS ARE AWARE OF THEM - THIS WILL AVOID POSSIBLE EMBARRASSMENT FOR ALL CONCERNED. PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE US WITH A PROOF COPY OF YOUR WEDDING INVITATION: THIS WILL PREVENT ANY MISUNDERSTANDINGS.

No one wearing sharp heels will be admitted to the Rooms. For the purpose of this clause, sharp heels are defined as those which each have a heel-floor contact area smaller than a 2p piece. The decision of the Administrator in any dispute regarding the interpretation of this or any other clause in this contract shall be final.

Food and drink are permitted only in designated areas.

None of the antique objects mentioned above may be touched.

Nothing may be placed upon any antique object.

Children are only admitted if accompanied by an adult who shall be responsible for their behaviour at all times. The Administrator shall be entitled to require the instant removal from the Rooms of any child who is misbehaving. The Trust reserves the right to charge the cost of any damage, whether caused by a child or adult, to the person booking the function.

Photography and videoing within the Rooms is at the discretion of the Administrator, who shall agree at the time the booking is made what photography, if any, shall be allowed in the Rooms. This agreement shall be recorded in writing.

Smoking is not permitted in the Rooms at any time.

Tabley House contains a Retirement Home for older people and residents in the old stables area. Their lifestyle needs to be protected. This requires the Trust to include Terms and Conditions in this Booking Form by order of the Environmental Officer relating to noise etc, as follows:

I. No amplified music or other loud noise will be permitted during Receptions around Tabley House or in Tabley Park adjacent to the House. This includes a ban on tape, CD and record players as well as on all disco-type equipment, electronic organs and pianos.
2. Only music played on stringed instruments or a piano will be permitted at such Receptions.
3. Only the toilet facilities as arranged can be used.
4. Departure times as agreed with the Administrator to be adhered to.

The Trustees reserve the right to bill for any additional items/people/rooms/grounds not declared prior to the wedding.

Note: Tabley Park, which surrounds the House, is managed by an outside Agency which may put on events in the Park at any time. Please inquire about this when you make your booking and we shall advise you to the best of our knowledge then.
