Tabley House provides a unique and beautiful Cheshire setting for smaller weddings or civil partnership ceremonies.

Step 1  Arranging a Viewing

It would be handy for you to have an idea of numbers and preferred dates for the ceremony when you make the call or email so that we can quickly check availability.

Some key points to remember about Weddings and Civil Partnership Ceremonies at Tabley House

• The maximum number of guests that can be accommodated for a ceremony is 100.
• The fee includes the hire of the Gallery and Portico rooms only.
• There is no overnight accommodation available at Tabley House.

Step 2  Securing your Date
After your visit to Tabley House, and having agreed the date for the ceremony, you can quickly secure the booking by returning the signed Booking Form with a £300 deposit. 

Cheques should be made out to The Tabley House Collection Trust. We can supply BACS payment details if preferred.

Step 3  Speak to the Registrar
Before sending the Booking Form off to us we strongly recommend that you check with the Cheshire East Registrar Service 01270 375140 that they can provide their services on the date and time you want.

Step 4  Arranging further viewings and working with your other suppliers
So that’s the day secure, and really there’s not much more to think about until we get closer to the date, although we’d love to hear from you from time to time to update us on any arrangements.

We’d be happy to welcome you, your family or any of your suppliers who want to see the venue ahead of your big day.  Just give us a call or drop us an email.

Step 5  Sending out the Invitations
We’d be happy to supply images of Tabley House to help you design your invitations.  It might also be a good time to remind guests of our no stiletto heels policy to protect our 18th Century wooden floors, and where they might be able to get heel guards; these will help protect shoes on the grass for the photos too!

Step 6 Final Payment
We do require the full balance of the fee to be paid 7 days in advance of the ceremony, again this can be done by cheque or BACS. Most people use this as an opportunity to visit the venue again and go through the finer details and timings for the day.

Step 7  The Day Before
If you are hosting a drinks reception with or without canapés we ask that these be delivered the afternoon before the ceremony.  We’ll securely store them in a cold store so that the drinks can be served chilled immediately following the ceremony.

We’ll arrange the seating on the afternoon or evening before the event so if you want to set out a particular seating plan just let us know.

If you are supplying other equipment, e.g. ipod for playing music, for the day again, to be on the safe side we advise this be delivered the day before the event.

Step 8 Have a good night’s sleep and we’ll see you tomorrow!

After the ceremony
After the ceremony there may be equipment that will need to be collected, we’ll keep it safe for up to 2 weeks until you or a designated person is able to pick it up.

Your Next Family Event
Tabley House and Chapel can also be used for baby or child naming ceremonies and for the renewal of marriage vows.
